Doctoral Forum for Research on Research Integrity

We are pleased to announce the following winners of the Excellence in Doctoral Research Awards:

  • Shila Abdi, University of Leuven, Leuven
    “Research integrity: Between intention and prevention”
  • Francis Kazungu Kombe, African Research Integrity Network; and University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), KwaZulu-Natal
    “Examining the role of fieldworkers’ performance management systems and institutional support in promoting research integrity in Africa”
  • Mariana Ribeiro, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Rio de Janeiro
    “The Influence of retractions on the career of scientists from the most productive countries in the biomedical sciences”

On the recommendation of the Doctoral Forum Panel, three equal awards of HK$5,000 (~USD641) have been awarded to the winners above.


The Programme Committee of the 6th World Conference on Research Integrity (6th WCRI) is pleased to announce the 3rd Doctoral Forum (DF) for Research on Research Integrity. The Forum will provide a unique opportunity for PhD students studying research integrity and/or the responsible conduct of research to get advice and comments from an international panel of specialists. The DF will also provide an exciting, friendly and supportive environment for PhD students to share ideas and interact with established research integrity experts!

All DF materials should be in English, the official language of the 6th WCRI.

On the recommendation of the DF panel of specialists, Excellence in Doctoral Research Awards will be granted to the best three doctoral projects (USD1,000 for the best project and USD500 each for the other two projects). The awards will be announced at the conference dinner of the 6th WCRI on June 4, 2019.

DATE

The DF will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 10am to 4pm (lunch: 12noon to 1pm) in Room CPD-LG.64, Centennial Campus, The University of Hong Kong.

ELIGIBILITY

Applications are limited to doctoral students officially enrolled in a graduate program. Accepted applicants must register for the conference via the Registration page, otherwise they will not be able to participate in the doctoral forum.

DEADLINE

February 28, 2019. Notification of acceptance will be sent by e-mail to all applicants by March 15, 2019.
